What is KelpThing?
KelpThing is a name that right now describes just me but, hopefully in the future represents a larger group that make games with the sole intent to bring entertainment in new and innovative ways.
Who owns these games?
Hi, I'm Bailey and since the 3rd of October 2023 I have been developing games all on my own. At the moment game development is a hobby but, I want to take it further one day as a career. I enjoy adventure videogames and have been playing videogames since the age of 4.
What to expect from KelpThing games:
The further away from the 3rd of October we get, the more you can expect in terms of quality as I gain knowledge, learning as I go! No matter when you read this however, you can expect my best with every project, if a game has a time constraint like in game jams it still have as much effort put in as I can in a project of that size.
Where did the name KelpThing come from?
The name was a combination of ideas...
The first reason was when I was looking for a cool name online and took Marvel's Swamp thing and added Kelp to the front. This led into the second reason...
The second reason was back in 2020 when me and my friend were making a Minecraft map that was basically like Overwatch with characters and unique skillsets. I decided to us ethe name for one character and from then on the name stuck with me eventually becoming the name of my online presence!
Where can I learn more?
For one, I always try to respond to suggestions and critique with an open mind as long as that critique is appropriate and fair so if you have any requests regarding my games feel free to leave a comment on my games.
